Fifteen years ago, Casa Azul of Greensboro began with a simple idea: that art and culture can bring people together, foster understanding, and strengthen community. Since then, it has grown into Greensboro’s only Latino arts and culture organization dedicated to creating space for shared cultural experiences through free exhibitions, performances, and community events. Today, Casa Azul remains a place where Latino and Latina artists are uplifted, families gather, and people of all ages and backgrounds come together through the arts.
In many Latin American cultures, a quinceañera is a powerful coming-of-age tradition that marks a young woman’s 15th birthday. It celebrates growth, identity, and the transition into a new chapter of responsibility and possibility. That spirit deeply reflects where Casa Azul stands today.
But like a quinceañera, this moment is not just a celebration. It is a transition. As we step into this new chapter and as Greensboro continues to grow, Casa Azul has set a $30,000 fundraising goal to sustain and expand our work.
