Día de los Muertos 2015: A huge success!

Casa Azul would like to extend its deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make our fifth annual Dia de los Muertos event a HUGE success! Even with the stormy weather we had a fantastic turnout at our new venue with an estimated 700+ attendees between November 1st and 2nd. (Take a look at our event gallery)

We hope that you all enjoyed the performances, altars, and delicious champurrado (hot chocolate) just as much as we did!

A very special thank you goes out to The Greensboro Children’s Museum for allowing us to host our special event for the first time in this location. Casa Azul would also like to thank this year’s altar artist groups and performance groups (Los Viejitos Dance Company, Grupo Azteca, and Paperhand Puppet Intervention) who kept the reception lively and exciting.

Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank each and every one of the 53 volunteers who came out to the workshops and the event itself who made all of the beautiful decorations possible. This was truly a community event!
