An Aztec ritual which dates back more than 3,000 years, Day of the Dead celebrates death and the continuation of life, by honoring deceased relatives and friends. In preparation for the celebration, Casa Azul conducted a family oriented workshop on Sunday, October 30th, at ArtQuest. Atendees learned about the history of Day of the Dead, traditional altars, how to make sugar Skulls decorations and paper flowers.Read More
The local community joined us on Thursday, June 9th to celebrate a new chapter of Latino art in Greensboro with the introduction of Casa Azul. At this event, people met the artists and the persons behind this initiative, shared their ideas of what they thought about Casa Azul, enjoyed the music of Latin Rio, danced to the rhythm and tasted great traditional food provided by Poblano’s Restaurant.
