Casa Azul is a new initiative sponsored by the United Art Counsil. Our focus is to promte Latin American Art Culture in the city of Greensboro, NC.
On Saturday April 28, 2012, Casa Azul partnered with the Greensboro Public Library in this year’s Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day) to promote literacy, reading and Latino culture. This annual celebration of Latino culture and literacy draws thousands of participants to downtown Greensboro’s Center City Park.

In preparation for the celebration, Casa Azul conducted a family oriented workshop on Sunday, October 30th, at ArtQuest. Atendees learned about the history of Day of the Dead, traditional altars, how to make sugar Skulls decorations and paper flowers.
